Health Care Coalition – Preparedness Plan
According to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Health Care Preparedness and Response Capabilities (Capability 1, Objective 3) “the HCC preparedness plan enhances preparedness and risk mitigation through cooperative activities based on common priorities and objectives.”
ECHCC is designated as the Region 1 agency that has developed a regional preparedness plan. This plan includes information collected on hazard vulnerabilities and risks, resources, gaps, needs, and legal and regulatory considerations.
ECHCC preparedness plan emphasizes strategies and tactics that promote communications, information sharing, resource coordination, and operational response and recovery planning with ECHCC members and other stakeholders. ECHCC developed its preparedness plan to include ECHCC members so that, at a minimum, hospitals, EMS, emergency management organizations, and public health agencies are represented.

PLAN. TRAIN. RESPOND. RECOVER.
