Description | The course is addresses the roles and responsibilities appropriate to a Task Force/Strike team Leader operating on concert with a local or state-level AH IMT. These responsibilities fall into two categories: (1) responding to the incident and the command needs of the incident, and (2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Task Force/Strike Team Leader in conjunction with an AH IMT. This is an all-hazards, instructor-led course that facilitates learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercise scenarios |

Target Audience | Course Objectives – Describe the function and components of the Incident Management Organization/Team and the Operations Section – Describe the responsibilities of the Task Force/Strike (Resource) Team Leader at the pre-response, response, operational, demobilization, and post-incident phases of an incident – Describe the information gathering and dissemination responsibilities of the Task Force/Strike (Resource) Team Leader – Describe the leadership and personnel supervision responsibilities of the Task Force/Strike (Resource) Team Leader – Describe the risk management and safety responsibilities of the Task Force/Strike (Resource) Team Leader – Describe the tasks a Task Force/Strike Team Force Leader is required to complete during an Operational period for an incident – – E/L/G 0191 Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface E/L/G 0400 Advanced Incident Command System for Complex Incidents, ICS 400 |
Additional Information | The class will be hosted in the Walton County Emergency Operations Center. Some materials will be printed, but a laptop/tablet may be required during course instruction.
